How does it work?

The Intense Pulsed Light Laser produces a beam of highly concentrated light that is attracted to melanin which is found in hair.  As the melanin absorbs the light it produces heat which causes thermal destruction of the follicle tissue.  This causes the hair growth to be significantly impeded or eliminated, typically in 6 to 8 treatments.

Laser hair removal is limited to treating only those hairs containing melanin (pigment) so blond or grey hair must still be treated with electrolysis.

What areas can be treated?

Most areas of the face and body can be successfully treated. The most common areas for treatment for women are the face underarms and the bikini line. Whereas men prefer treatment on the back, chest, shoulders, between the eyebrows, upper cheeks area.   Laser treatment can also quickly cover large body areas like legs and forearms.

Is it permanent?

Damage to the hair follicle can remove unwanted hair permanently, but because of the nature of  hair and the many factors that influence its growth, the results for permanent hair removal are variable. IPL will remove a high percentage of hair growth and electrolysis is the perfect solution for those stubborn hairs to complete your treatment.
